The Tatami-do is armor worn by theNinja and is unlocked by defeating your own warrior in arcade mode. The Tatami-do like the Shinobi Shozoku provides zero protection but grants maximum speed and therefor simply changes the Ninjas appearance and nothing else. In real life, ninjas wore tatami-do only if their mission is extremely dangerous, as the tatami-do provides them some protection.
